I just saw the transformers revenge of the fallen trailer on tv. it was like two minutes long (super long) and by far the most intense preview I have ever seen. I have never seen the first movie, all I could think was oh my god this has got to be the most expensive movie EVER. Michael Bay must be loaded from the first one.

I was actually told not to see the Transformers movie... That's if I don't want my childhood memories raped of how awesome the original Transformers were.
The Original (animated) Transformers movie is still beyond epic and it was produced in like 1986?... C'mon I defy you to not shed a tear when Optimus dies... Fuck you Megatron!!!! <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s -->
.............. (Optimus Prime mortally wounded):
"It's over, Prime"
..."NEVER!!!"
Prime lands a massive double handed hammerthrow punch knocking Megatron off his platform....
It doesn't get any better than that!

Sessioned at the Concert Hall with Shaun and B, today. Killer sesh as usual. Shaun and I started it off with a coffee in the main strip in the City, straining our eyeballs while checking out the huge array of Betties. Shaun gave his jaw a good workout for an hour or so before getting down to some serious riding, when Mike showed up and got stuck into some new techniques.
Before the day was out, Shaun had thrown his bike around more than our Paul, due to a noisy and slippery freecoaster, while the B-Man decided it'd be tops to land awkwardly on a Megaspin and roll his ankle. Luckily for him, Dr. Buff always carries an instant ice-pack in his bag. That was the session ender, so we hit the station and trained it home, while Jarvs stuck around to rack up some more riding hours after overhauling his coaster.
All in all, another great day of riding under our belts [Image Can Not Be Found]

Going for a ride in the morning, straight after work. Although, it's still a little dark at 6:30am, over here... and chilly, too. Rain is kicking in from Thursday, so gots 2 make the most of the dry weather 'n get some riding hours in. Got from 6:30 'till around 8am, when the school kids start rocking up, and Mr Headmaster starts wondering why a 32yr old guy is riding a kids bike on school property.

Yes! > !
I just rode a real road cycle for the last three hours straight. It's something I've been waiting 3 years to do, and for the first time in my life I did tonight. My legs if you can imagine are on fire. Totally worth it. Just thinking about it 3 hours at an average of 15-20 mph; 45 - 60 miles or 90km [Image Can Not Be Found]
can that be right?
my balls hurt so bad. man alive I hope my penis still works tomorrow.

[quote="Rick":178gqfua]You know what I want really really bad? Tree balsa pegs, they look so good. Way to expensive for me but man do they look nice.[/quote:178gqfua]
I'm runnin the Big Tree Balsa Pegs rite now. I bought them, despite the mad price, because rarely nowadays do pegs with a big diameter and length come out, as I prefer the feeling of a larger diameter peg to grab hold of (it kinda reminds me of when I'm in the shower and thinking about Edith, the UFC ring-girl http://themmaspace.com/WordPress/wp-con ... 20Girl.jpg [Image Can Not Be Found])
Tell you what, though... they are insanely light!! I was running Homie Haulers prior to these, and 1 of them is about the weight of 2 Tree pegs. They even SOUND light when you step on them, or slide ur foot across them.
Pegs are like a new pair of shoes... ur gonna get at least a few years out of them, so the cost is a one-off expense that you wont notice, a month after you buy them. Do it, bro... treat urself, don't cheat urself [Image Can Not Be Found]

Whats the deal with hubs with different sized flanges? Obvious example is the KHE geisha. I can't figure it out, do you use different sized spokes on each side, or does having the different sized flanges offset the tyre for some type of additional goodness? Someone tell me, it's been on my mind for some months now, and I can't make sense of it!

Its about having the smallest flanges possible on each side. One side houses the clutch mechanism, the other side only has the axle, so by keeping the minimum flange size, you have stronger flanges. Its not so much an issue with flatland, except radial laced wheels, but street riders are known to break flanges.
The added bonus is saving a few grams so people think they will have a lighter wheel. The company wins the weight competition and sell more hubs. The wheel will definately need two different length spokes, one for each side. The wheel will have just about equal weight with the smaller flange because hub shells are made of aluminium or an alloy grade, or even mag, and spokes are steel. Steel is heavier resulting in no weight saved with the longer spokes required.
